Apple & Oat Breakfast Muffins Rezept

Zutaten

  •     Makes 12 
  • 240 ml  buttermilk 
  • 85 rolled oats 
  • 75 raisins 
  • 120 wholewheat flour 
  • 1 1/2   tsp baking powder 
  • 1 1/2   of cinnamon 
  • 1/2   tsp of salt 
  • 2   egg whites 
  • 3   tsbp honey 
  • 1   medium apple, cored and grated

Line a muffin tin with 12 muffin cases. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the buttermilk, oats, and raisins. In a separate bowl, blend the wholewheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add the egg whites and honey to the oat mix, and blend thoroughly.

Then blend the two mixtures together. Fold in the grated apple. Fill the muffin cups almost full. Bake in the oven at 175°C/350°F/gas mark 4 for about 20–25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from tin.
