Baked Fettuccini Casserole Rezept

Zutaten

  •     Makes 8 servings 
  • 14   oz. Italian turkey sausage, casings removed and crumbled 
  •     1 ½ cup tomato basil pasta sauce, like Classico 
  • 2   cups broccoli florets 
  • 12   oz. fettuccini pasta 
  • 1   cup low fat cottage cheese (use full fat for photo shoot) 
  • 1   large egg, beaten 
  • 2   cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided

Heat oven to 400ºF. Coat medium skillet with cooking spray. Cook sausage over medium heat, breaking into smaller pieces, until lightly browned. Stir in pasta sauce

Prepare fettuccini according to package directions; drain. In food processor, combine cottage cheese and egg. Process 2 min., or until very smooth. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Toss pasta with cheese mixture

Arrange pasta to greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Arrange broccoli over pasta. Cover broccoli with sausage mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover with greased aluminum foil. Bake 45 min. Uncover during last 5 min. Let stand 10 min. before serving
